Neon pyramids and Kids TV shows...

What a busy couple of weeks we have had- working with Google and our fun Vegan dining partner Asparagasm has had us all over the shop building neon pyramids and editing together choice clips of children's tv programmes from the 70s through to the 90s. First up- we put together a nice little TV installation for Google. Their theme was 'adult playground', so we built them an installation which would get them feeling all nostalgic: Blue Peter, Fun House, Simon and the Witch, Morph, the Moomins, He-Man, Art Attack, who remembers The Demon Headmaster [shudder] and Knightmare?! There were lots more, and we made sure to edit them all with a lovely little colour wash to reflect the google colour scheme.

Then last week we got to work on Asparagasm's latest vegan dinner party (and 1st birthday party- congrats!) which transported us back to the 80s with its theme: 80s RARA. We conjured up neon pyramids and barbie limbs as table decorations, had all the guests decorating themselves with heiroglyph tattoos and pyramid-earring making kits, and had them cooing along to our lush 80s themed projections [possibly our best yet?]- oh and that was all after they were greeted at the door by our ethereal egyptian 80s goddess who led them in a sun-god blessing, leaving them with glowstick head-gear... [take our word for it].  We've had the Bangles song 'Walk Like An Egyptian' in our heads ever since...
